Dr. Elise Wong ND, MAc (she/her)

I received my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and my Masters in Acupuncture from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2011. While practicing I discovered a passion and skill for helping people get pregnant, supporting them through their pregnancy and assisting them through postpartum. It is one of the most rewarding experiences to aid families through this process and meet their beautiful newborns.

In addition to fertility, I also specialize in gynecological health and work with people of all ages, gender expressions and sexual orientation. Naturopathic and Eastern medicine are extremely effective for treating a wide variety of gynecological issues, including dysmenorrhea (painful periods), PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), menstrual irregularities, menopause/perimenopause and many more.

The blending of Naturopathy and Chinese medicine has provided me with a broader perspective and deeper understanding of health and disease. As a practitioner with two diverse degrees, I have the tools necessary to provide appropriate care for a broad spectrum of people.

It is my greatest joy to be a mother. When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my family, hiking, exploring the Puget Sound, and playing. I particularly enjoy cooking family meals with fresh produce from my garden.

Specialties:

Fertility:

I am passionate about helping families conceive.  I utilize diet and lifestyle modifications as well herbs, supplements and eastern medicine to optimize your fertility.  I will work alongside your midwife, OB/GYN and/or IVF clinic and be an integral part of your care team, providing expertise and comprehensive support to help you achieve your goals.

Pregnancy:

I love to help families conceive, support them through their pregnancy and then meet their baby.  I will support you through your pregnancy journey regardless of whether you worked with me for fertility.  However, I am not a midwife nor a Medical Doctor and require all pregnant patients to have a midwife, OB/GYN or family physician that is monitoring your pregnancy and can deliver your baby.

Gynecological Health:

I work with people of all ages, gender expressions and sexual orientation.  I have extensive experience utilizing natural medicine to balance hormones, treat PMS, premenstrual dysphoria disorder, dysmenorrhea (painful periods), menstrual irregularities, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menopause/perimenopause and many more health concerns.

Testimonials

My partner and I started seeing Dr. Wong before conception and continued to be in her care throughout pregnancy and into postpartum. We felt supported, safe, and well informed during each visit, which ultimately led to a healthy birth that we felt well prepared for. I highly recommend her services to anyone, whether it’s needing support with fertility or pregnancy, or simply needing a safe space for any gynecological services. Her office is a place of comfort where you will be met with nurturing energy as she provides attentive, personalized care.

My wife and I decided we wanted to start a family and began trying about a year and a half ago. A while passed and we found out I had some fertility issues and the doctor told us we needed to go the IUI route. My wife stumbled upon New Moon while searching online and we decided to go the natural route before taking the leap to an IUI. Dr. Wong was great, very nice and thorough in explaining why she was prescribing certain things and what they’d do. She only does online visits right now, which was fine with me because it was easier than going into an office. I just had some supplements and a tea mailed to me every month. It’s been four months and my wife just got pregnant. Super happy we were able to conceive naturally without the cost and hassle of IUI or IVF. I’m a convert and my wife is seeing her now for prenatal care.
