Acupuncture for IVF

Many studies have shown that acupuncture improves success rates of IVF.  I do not perform IVFs in office and can make a recommendation for a reproductive endocrinologist if you have not established care with one.

When To Begin

Ideally, I recommend you start acupuncture and naturopathic treatment three months before the IVF cycle begins. This becomes especially important if there has been a previous failed IUI/ IVF.  If this is not possible then begin treatment as soon as possible.  I work closely with your fertility clinic to support their protocols.  In addition, I am very familiar with the process and how to use acupuncture and naturopathic medicine to increase your chances of a healthy pregnancy and child.

Acupuncture can improve uterine lining by increasing blood flow to the uterus, reduce stress, minimize side effects of medications, improve egg quality and implantation rates.

Acupuncture on the Day of Embryo Transfer

There have been numerous studies that show an increased success of a transfer when it is combined with acupuncture. It is important to get treatment as soon as possible after the procedure. Acupuncture assists in implantation of the embryo in the uterus.
Recent studies show a significant increase in live birth rates in those patients using acupuncture in addition to IVF.

Acupuncture After Embryo Transfer

Acupuncture after embryo transfer focuses on implantation, embryologic growth and miscarriage prevention.
